What is NHAFA?

The National Hispanic Firearms Association (NHAFA) is an organization providing Hispanics living in the U.S., who legally exercise their Second Amendment rights, social representation and recognition.

Too often are responsible Hispanic and Latinx gun owners wrongfully associated with illegal or deviant activities. NHAFA serves to bring together Hispanic Americans in order to provide advocacy for change of social stereotypes as well as education and community events celebrating those who legally own and safely operate firearms.

Expertise

​Our board of directors, staff, and members include a number of experts in the legal and firearms communities. We provide such services as:

• Education for our youth and adults on firearm safety.
• Legal consultation with our staff attorney on firearm related issues.
• An array of training videos for self-defense and proper use of a firearm.
• Information on local as well as national social and legislative news and events.​​

Heritage

We are proud of heritage and ethnic identity and commit to engaging in the following:

• Advocacy for change of social stereotype.
• Advocacy for mental health of an underserved demographic.
• Encouraging Hispanic/Latinx members to use readily available resources for business, health, and more.

Community

Because of the importance of de-stigmatizing responsible gun ownership and its negative connotations and building goodwill in our communities, we intend to: 

• Participate in community events to promote awareness and
  ​establish social presence.
• Organize local range live fire training for self-defense or sport.

We proudly support our nation's armed forces, police departments, and first responders,
​as well as groups that advocate for people of color.
